Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the government doesn't know how many 18 to 21 year olds are out of work and education.
He faced a question during this morning's Tynwald sitting from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the figures over the last three years.
Dr Allinson said data is collected about the number of young people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance on the Island.
