There’s just over a week left to enter a Manx writing competition for young people.
The 2025 Creative Writing Competition is looking for bedtime stories with a Manx theme, celebrating kindness, friendship, courage, respect or saving the planet.
Open to youngsters aged six to 13, winners will receive a cash prize and be included in the The Big Book of Magical Manx Tales, with all profits going to the Children’s Ward at Noble’s Hospital and charity Bridge the Gap IOM.
The closing date for entries is Friday, October 24 – you can enter by emailing manxman57@live.com or post your entry to organiser Rob Cowley, 3 Turnberry Avenue, Onchan, IM3 2JS.
