Budding young writers are being encouraged to 'think outside the box' and enter a creative writing competition.
This year's Hall Caine Prize for Creative Writing is themed around space - entrants are asked to write a short story, chapter of a novel or an excerpt from a memoir.
The annual competition is funded by the family of the famous Manx author Hall Caine - with cash prizes available for primary and secondary school entrants.
The closing date for entries is February 20th - you can find full details here.
