Police have launched an investigation after a young woman was assaulted on Friday night in central Douglas.
The incident happened at 10.45pm when she was walking from the Tuck Inn Takeaway on Lower Duke’s Road up onto Woodbourne Road.
It was here where a young white male in his late teens or early 20s with short blond hair wearing a light-coloured hooded top was seen.
Words were exchanged between them in the area of Africa House and an altercation took place during which the male has grabbed the female causing her to panic and flee the scene.
