The Fire and Rescue Service is warning people about the dangers of swimming in quarries and open water after an incident in the south of the Island yesterday.
Crews were called to a quarry in Castletown at 8.30pm when two boys got stuck on a ledge just above the water on a steep rock face.
Firefighters brought them to safety on an inflatable rescue sled and they were checked by ambulance staff but were unscathed by their ordeal.
The Fire Service says you should do your research and plan your exit before you get into the water.
