A weather warning has been issued as temperatures will reach close to freezing overnight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for icy patches.
Forecasters say frost and icy patches could form on untreated surfaces but the Department of Infrastructure say its gritter teams will be out from early evening.
The warning came into force at 6pm today and lasts until 9am tomorrow, Friday February 28.
