A yellow weather warning will be in place today for coastal overtopping.
The Ronaldsway Met Office says it comes into force from 9am until 1pm this afternoon.
Strong wind together with high tides will create large waves, leading to overtopping of sea water and debris onto exposed promenades and coastal roads.
The areas most at risk are Shore Road Rushen, Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Promenade, and to a lesser extent Laxey & Ramsey Promenades.
