Port St Mary's all-weather lifeboat went to the rescue of a yachtsman who got into trouble yesterday afternoon.
The volunteer crew were called into action just after 12.30pm on Sunday when the 30 foot catamaran got into difficulties around 25 miles off the south coast.
The Gough Ritchie II towed the vessel to Port St Mary after deciding weather and sea conditions meant it couldn't be taken to Douglas.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
