A would-be online scammer got a surprise earlier today - when they tried to con Island police officers.
The Constabulary took to Twitter to share a message it received from someone claiming to have 258,000 euros they wanted to share.
An officer messaged back, advising them not to try to scam the police.
And they're now warning people to be on the lookout for "too good to be true" offers - because they're usually scams.
Facebook posts, especially busy ones, attract scam replies. Even we get them. Just watch out for scammers. Too good to be true normally is! #IOMPolice pic.twitter.com/Rpt2HXjFOv
