A project is underway to drastically improve a busy main highway in the South of the Island.
Work is being carried out to improve poor surfaces on the A5 between Fishers Hill and the Shore Hotel in Gansey - an area the Department of Infrastructure says is prone to flooding and wave overtopping.
Footpath and kerbing repairs will take place along with reconstructing of the stretch before it's then resurfaced - with officials adding it's part of a bigger initiative on Island roads to combat the problem of standing water.
The DOI has added the footpath there will remain open and access for residents will be maintained.
