Commissioners in Castletown say work is underway to restore certain services at the town hall.
The local authority says efforts are being made to bring back public counter and library services there but they want to make sure appropriate measures are in place to protect customers and staff.
Currently, the library service offers collections and drop-offs for anyone shielding or self-isolating - officials say it's unlikely any bookings for the community hall space will be taken for some time.
They add an announcement will be made in due course via the authority's social media channels when more face-to-face facilities are able to return.
