Work to sunken gardens could be delayed

Work to repair the sunken gardens on Douglas Prom could be delayed to accommodate a wider project to renew the sea wall.

Storm Barra destroyed the protective sea wall in December of last year, meaning large sections of the area were cordoned off, including the children’s play park.

Andrew Bentley is Douglas Council's lead for regeneration and community - he believes the authority should avoid 'doing the same job twice':
