Work gets underway on Douglas Promenade at the end of this week.
The Department of Infrastructure says it'll be resurfacing the prom in two phases over the next fortnight, starting on Friday evening.
First will be the Palace Hotel to Broadway, which is expected to take a week, followed by the stretch between the Palace Hotel and Summerhill.
The department says the resurfacing isn't a long-term fix, however, and it remains committed to fully reconstructing the prom in future.
