Work to reconstruct Peel Road is said to be progressing well.
The 80 week project started in March and the Department of Infrastructure says so far it is going to plan.During race week the work has stopped on the busy route in and out of Douglas to help ease traffic congestion.
Director of Highways Richard Pearson says it isn't possible to construct a new road without causing disruption for motorists.
However he says they are always trying to make things better - including changing things at Quarterbridge:
