Johnny Watterson\'s Lane to Re-Open After 9 Week Closure
The Department of Transport have announced that after nearly 10 weeks work, Johnny Watterson's lane is complete.
It's taken the majority of the Summer but the major highway improvement scheme has finished ahead of schedule.
Originally it was thought that the work would take in excess of 34 weeks, due to the introduction of modern working methods however this figure was drastically lowered to just 9.
The work now means improved safety for all road users including pedestrians.
The stretch of road will re-open to traffic on Friday October 2nd.
