Work is now able to start on a brand new feature for visitors to Curraghs Wildlife Park.
A new interactive Nature Trail is going to be installed at the attraction in Ballaugh, and those who use it will be able to learn about animals in the area through facilities including a solar-powered talking bench and specially designed signs.
Young actors have also recorded a series of fascinating facts about Curragh wildlife and these can be heard via a 'U turnround' device.
New name plaques marking the two Trail entrances have been engraved on Manx grown Larch by local wood carver, Gavin Carter.
It's hoped the new trail, funded by Manx Lottery Trust and Zurich International, will open next month - work on it has previously been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Supporters of the Curragh’s Wildlife Park Chair, Kim Etherton, says: "We will now be working hard to install all the exciting new components on the Curragh Nature Trail.
"They are designed to raise awareness of this unique wetland area but in a fun way. We’re looking forward to the summer when we hope lots of families will enjoy this new addition to the Curraghs Wildlife Park."
