Workmen Arrive On Site To Commence Work on Bowl Overhaul
Work has commenced today on the major refurbishment of the Bowl Stadium, after the £2.9 million spending required for the project was approved in Tynwald last week.
If everything goes to plan then work should be finished by early May of next year, with 4 months to spare before the Commonwealth Youth Games.
The new-look stadium will be able to hold 3000 spectators, and aswell as being the base for the opening ceremony it'll also play host to the Rugby Sevens and Football events.
Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney has said the new improved Bowl Stadium is crucial to the success of the Games and will be sure to leave a good impression on the 71 visiting nations.
