Firefighters are warning people not to store fuel too close to woodburners after being called out in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Crews were called to a blaze at a house in Glen View in Port Erin shortly before 4am when wood next to a wood burning stove caught light.
Nobody was hurt during the incident which caused smoke damage to the living room and took 35 minutes to deal with.
The Fire and Rescue Service says people shouldn't stack logs or any other combustible material next to stoves or boilers.
