A woman will be sentenced today for abducting her own son and taking him to Canada from the Isle of Man.
The single mum, known as Miss A, took her son to Canada last year the night before he was due to go in to care.
She claimed it was a necessity because he was at risk of harm from his father.
After authorities traced her she appeared before Douglas Courthouse where a jury found the woman guilty of abduction.
