A woman who took hundreds of pounds from visitors for TT accommodation she never provided will be sentenced next month.
Kathryn Kelly of Drury Terrace in Douglas admitted four counts of theft when she appeared at Douglas courthouse.
Magistrates heard she’d taken deposit payments in late 2017 from two men totalling £700 for rental properties during last year’s TT.
But after taking the money she stopped responding to their messages on Facebook - and when they arrived on the Island they were forced to find somewhere else to stay.
Kelly also pleaded guilty to stealing items from Superdrug and Marks and Spencer between October and December last year.
Two charges of fraud by false representation were withdrawn by prosecution advocate Roger Kane.
Magistrates bailed Kelly in the sum of £500, and she’ll appear again for sentencing on May 16.
