People on the Isle of Man who are facing Christmas alone are being urged to take advantage of the Manx community spirit.
Local resident Sue Cook and her family will be hosting a Christmas Day with a difference this year - she wants to provide a festive afternoon tea:
It will take place at Onchan Parish Hall - since announcing her plans on Facebook on Sunday she says she's been 'overwhelmed' by support from the local community.
She's now appealing for people to spread the word to those who will be alone on December 25th to make sure everyone's efforts are not in vain:
Anyone who wants to find out more, or book their place on the day, is asked to contact Sue by e-mailing xmas@manx.net or telephoning 222999.
