Woman denies unprovoked car park attack

A Glen Vine woman has denied being involved in an unprovoked attack on a woman in a busy Douglas car park.

At Douglas Courthouse yesterday Emma Moore pleaded not guilty to affray when she appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.

It's claimed the 28-year-old was with Douglas women Tara Cowell and Jade Raby when the incident happened.

All three were said to be drunk on the fourth level of the Chester Street facility at 9pm on January 13th when Miss Cowell attacked the woman, dragging her to the ground and injuring her face.

The prosecutor told the court Miss Moore and Miss Raby stood around during the attack chanting "kill her" before all three made off.

Miss Moore denies the offence while Miss Raby and Miss Cowell have yet to enter a plea - they also face affray charges.

Miss Moore was granted bail and will appear in court on December 20 for a pre-trial review - the other two women will appear again on November 1st.
