Giving her boyfriend a lift while over the drink-drive limit has landed a woman with a two- year ban.
Anne Marie Laughlin of Keppel Road in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
She admitted drink-driving on the New Castletown Road on September 4.
The court heard members of the public rang police to report her driving, and officers stopped her near the airport as she drove to Castletown at 11pm.
She failed a roadside breath test, and admitted she’d been drinking during the day -at police headquarters she was found to be one and a half times the legal limit.
Her advocate told the court Laughlin’s boyfriend was upset after going to a funeral and the 30 year old offered to pick him up.
Magistrates fined her £1,350, ordered her to pay £125 costs and banned her from driving for two years.
