A row with a friend led to a Douglas woman drink-driving – and a three-year ban.
Gemma Natasha Rogers of Cronk Y Berry Avenue appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24 year old admitted drink-driving in a Ford Fiesta on Bath Place in Douglas on July 1.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing police were called to the Barbary Coast car park where Rogers was sat at the wheel at around 3am.
She drove along North Quay – officers stopped her a short distance away and arrested her when she failed a roadside breath-test.
Rogers later turned out to be twice the legal limit, and the court heard she hadn’t plannedto drive but had made a foolish decision after arguing with a friend.
As well as banning her, Mrs Hughes fined her £1,000 and ordered her to pay £125 costs.
