A court’s heard a benefits fraud which ran for more than five years netted a Ramsey woman more than £50,000.
Sara Louise Adamson of Close Thunnag in Ramsey appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
She admitted two charges of failing to inform benefits staff of a change in circumstances and seven of making false representations to obtain benefits between March 2016 and June this year.
The court heard she hadn’t told benefits staff her boyfriend had moved in with her, and also failed to declare earnings she’d made working for the coroner of Ayre and Garff.
In total, the 25 year old was overpaid £50,395.
She was bailed in the sum of £500 to appear again for sentencing on October 26.
