Witnesses sought for taxi driver assault in Douglas

Police in Douglas are seeking witnesses after a taxi driver was assaulted over the weekend.

Between 3am and 3.30am on Sunday a taxi picked up two men and a woman from Athol Street and dropped off the passengers at Eurocars on Peel Road.

The male passenger got out of the vehicle and proceeded to assault the driver - it's believed a silver vehicle stopped in front of the taxi whilst the assault was occurring.

Anyone who has information about this incident should contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
