A man from the Wirral has become the first person on the Island to be charged with taking part in organised crime under a decade-old law.
James Spotswood of Townsend Street in Birkenhead appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
He's charged with two counts of conspiracy and one of participating in a criminal organisation under the Organised and International Crime Act 2010 between January and September this year.
He hasn't yet entered pleas, and was remanded in custody to appear in court again on October 5.
