Investigators trying to find convicted murderer Connor Chapman tried to find him on the Isle of Man two years before he gunned down Elle Edwards last Christmas.
Chapman had been released from prison in 2020 but went missing, prompting a manhunt by Merseyside police.
They sent a letter to his last known address – his grandmother’s home here on the Isle of Man - asking him to give himself up.
He was eventually arrested on the Wirral almost exactly two years before he became infamous for the submachinegun killing.
