Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning this morning - with waves expected to break over exposed roads.
The warning covers high tide today from 9.15am to 12.15pm.
Forecasters say south or south easterly winds approaching gale force may drive waves and overtopping.
Areas likely to be affected today include Castletown Promenade, the Northern and central end of Douglas Promenade, Laxey and Ramsey.
