A company in the south of the Island has applied for permission to build three 45-foot tall wind turbines overlooking Port Erin.
Cheeseden Investments says it wants to put the grey, 10kW turbines on land off Ballanahowe Road.
The turbines would supply power to Ballaman - the home of Island billionaire businessman John Whittaker.
In its planning application the company says the structures would blend into the background when seen from Bradda Head or Port Erin.
