The Department of Home Affairs has applied for planning permission for a fitness centre at police headquarters.
In its application, the department says it wants to put a modular building in the car park at the Dukes Avenue site.
The portable building would house a fitness suite.
The department says if successful, the plans would mean losing seven car parking spaces in the top car park.
