Port Erin Commissioners say they may scrap free dog poo bags, unless people start picking up after their pets.
It's after the board shared providing dog waste bags costs them £2,500 a year.
At its July meeting, the costs and benefits in providing them were reviewed, and it was decided the situation would be monitored over the next 12 months.
The Board says unless there is an improvement in the amount of dog waste being picked up around the village, the provision may be removed.
Chair of Port Erin Commissioner, Godfrey Egee, says that all dog walkers should ensure they pick up after their dogs and dispose of the waste in any bin.
