A team of ecologists will be surveying wildlife in the south of the Island near a planned windfarm next week.
Manx Utilities says consultants will be working around the Earystane and Scard area, where it's planning to install turbines.
Among their tasks will be assessing how likely bird strikes will be on the blades, as well as checking for owls, hen harriers and frogs.
Manx Utilities says the data gathered will help it plan the onshore facility.
