From a week today, when someone travels to the Island from the UK - their whole household will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
The Chief Minister confirmed the new rules will come into force from Thursday, November 19.
The Council of Ministers made the decision today, at its weekly meeting.
Mr Quayle also announced Government will contribute £250 per week towards the cost of private accommodation if people don’t wish to isolate at home.
However Mr Quayle explained with patient transfers, exemptions including a seven-day test option, are to be available for the 'small number of people' who are regularly off-Island for medical appointments.
