What do you think about the use of e-bikes and e-scooters as a form of travelling about on Island?
Government has launched a public consultation to find out what residents think of a draft policy to support and encourage residents to use the technology more as a form of low-emission travelling.
Officials say the technology is becoming more popular and more high-powered versions, which are becoming increasingly available in Europe, will soon be accessible.
Infrastructure Minister, Tim Baker MHK, says: "With the emergence of higher powered versions of e-bikes and e-scooters it makes perfect sense to take the opportunity to bring forward a clear policy to support and encourage the uptake of this low emission way of travelling.
"Applying the same rules to different classes of bicycle or scooter is no longer practical when you take into consideration the increased speeds of these newer machines."
Anyone wanting to give their views on the matter can do so by visitng the online government consultation hub before the deadline on Friday, March 12 - a link to it is available here.
