The highest pub on the Island has applied for planning permission to sink a borehole providing water to its supply.
The Creg Ny Baa has lodged an application for a borehole between 70 and 90 metres deep on land just to the south of its car park.
In its application, the pub and restaurant says it would be to provide grey water, although it says ideally it would also supply drinking water.
A specialist report says the water quality can't be predicted before the borehole is drilled - but a suitable water treatment facility would be used.
