A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping will come into force from tonight.
The warning will be in place from 8.15pm until 12.30pm tomorrow.
Forecasters predict strong to gale force winds will create large waves and bring water and debris onto exposed roads and promenades.
The areas most likely to be affected are Shore Road, Castletown Promenade, Douglas Promenade and Laxey Promenade.
