Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning for tonight.
Ronaldsway Met office says the warning runs from 1am to 5am on Friday morning.
It says high tide and strong winds could mean coastal overtopping in some exposed areas.
Most at risk are Castletown and Douglas Promenades as well as Shore Road in Rushen.
