Weather Shows Dramatic Improvement on Yesterday\'s Icy Gales

Things are looking a bit better today on the weather front after the icy gale force winds caused havoc across the Island yesterday.

Peveril Square had to be closed off due to falling roof tiles, a tree was blown down blocking an area of the Ramsey to Laxey coast road, Derby Square was also closed later in the afternoon due to unsafe scaffolding.

The Mountain Road is open this morning, as is the Tholt Y Will Road, the Beinny Phott is still closed due for review this morning.
