Firefighters say they will continue to report 'nuisance burns' in private gardens to authorities after responding to an incident at the weekend.
Teams were called to the Glen Vine area on Easter Saturday to find a controlled burn taking place in a garden - the response required work from the joint control room staff as well as the on-duty crew.
The Islands fire service says whilst it's prepared to deal with these issues, this was an 'avoidable incident'.
Crews are urging people to be considerate to their neighbours who may be confined to their homes right now and to consider the impact such fires can have on air quality in certain areas.
