Manx Utilities is asking people in Douglas and Braddan to run their taps if their water is discoloured this morning.
On Facebook, the organisation says water supplies were cut off in Vicarage Road, Farmhill, the Isle of Man Business Park, Anagh Coar and Springham Park last night.
As a result, it says people may see discoloured water this morning after supplies were restored.
Its advice is to run downstairs or outside taps until it clears.
