Watchmaker Daniels Gets MBE
Revered watch maker and Island resident Dr George Daniels has been honoured in the New Years honours list, getting an MBE for his services to Horolgy.
The local 83 year old is widely regarded as one the best watch makers of the past century, revolutionising and pioneering aspects of mechanical watch design.
In a career spanning over 60 years Mr Daniels has completed nearly 40 watches, and was recently named a living national treasure.
