A local charity has issued advice for keeping hedgehogs safe this bonfire night.
The Manx Wildlife Trust encourages people to check bonfires for the creatures before lighting, as they like to sleep among the branches.
It's advised you build the fire the same day you plan to light it, use a pole to check for hedgehogs and light it from one corner to give them a chance to escape.
The charity also says to listen out for a hissing sound, as this could be a hedgehog in distress.
