Waste discount for Bride 'unfair', says Garff

Garff commissioners say a huge discount on waste disposal for one local authority is unfair.

At its last meeting, the local authority discussed the Northern Civic Amenity Site and Bride Commissioners.

Members described Bride as 'very affluent' and said giving it a 66 per cent discount on its waste costs at the taxpayer's expense was 'inequitable and untenable'

The board says it'll press government to make sure the situation is resolved before the next financial year.
