Firefighters were called out in the West of the Island yesterday after a washing machine caught light.
Crews from Peel and Kirk Michael were called to The Links in Peel shortly before 1pm on Sunday when a small fire started in the appliance.
The householder evacuated safely, and the property suffered only minimal fire and smoke damage in its kitchen.
Fire crews spent around an hour dealing with the incident.
