People on the Isle of Man are being warned over the potential dangers of taking part in ‘Neck and Nominate’.
The social media craze has reportedly been linked to two deaths in Ireland.
Also known as ‘Neknomination’ the challenge encourages people to upload a video of themselves drinking a pint to Facebook, before nominating friends to do the same.
The Department of Health says excessive intake of alcohol, and ingesting substances not meant for human consumption, could result in serious illness.
The Department of Education and Children has also been sending text messages to some parents to alert them of the craze.
