Garff commissioners are appealing to dog owners to abide by byelaws banning dogs from Laxey beach.
On Facebook, the local authority says it's had reports of people on the shore with their dogs, causing problems for others.
The commissioners say they'd rather educate than enforce and are asking for cooperation and consideration.
The board adds several people have now had to be reminded byelaws are in place.
