Authorities are warning of another scam which is targeting people on the Island.
The Police Economic Crime Unit says con artists claiming to be from Lloyds Bank are contacting potential victims saying they need to authorise a visa debit card transaction and will ask for an account number and bank balance.
Officers are telling anyone who receives this call to hang up, not give any personal details and contact your branch via an independent phone number or visit in person.
Those who come across this can report it to their local police station or contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
