Licensees are warning festive revellers to respect bar staff and stay out of trouble.
The Island's Licensed Victuallers Association has issued a 'festive five pointer' - simple suggestions designed to help people celebrate the Christmas period without getting in trouble with the law.
It says drinking in pubs and other hospitality outlets is safest as there are trained, sober and concerned people monitoring the environment.
