Want to become a firefighter with more flexibility?

The Fire Service is offering new flexible contracts as part of its latest recruitment drive. 

Alternative shift patterns are being advertised for the first time to potential retained firefighters. 

These contracts could include working only weekday daytimes from 8am-5pm, or weekends only. 

There's also an option for working both weekday and weekend shifts. 

The emergency service says they’ve been designed to fit around modern life for on-call firefighters, and improve cover for times it needs it most.
